Based on background material “Japanese room 02” on this page,
We will make it into the scene of the night that imaged the moonlight.

Make a night scene with background material
Open the background material
As preparation, put a solid shadow on the lamp according to the scene of the night when the shadow becomes darker.
Create a “gradient layer 1” under the accessories folder and apply it to the whole background.
“Ctrl + Left click” on the tone layer of 60L 10% to create a selection area.
Invert the selection from the selection tab.
It will look like this when you apply a quick mask.
Using this selection area, cut the “gradation tone 1” that we made earlier.
Overall concentration increased, the impression of light was emphasized.
Next, make a “gradation tone 2” at the top of the background material.
Scrape the “gradation tone 2” in sliding door part and tatami part which receive moonlight.
※Use the layer movement tool to shift the halftone dots of the new “gradation tone 2”.
Make a new layer at the top and border the outline of the accessories to receive moonlight in white.
Create a new layer between the accessories and the “gradation tone 1” and add the shadow of the accessories.
Make a selection area along the red perspective line and apply a gradation or hatching.
The scene of the night was completed.
※Background material of daytime specification before change.
Even with the same background material, the atmosphere will change with different time zones.
