Especially a forest that draw in high-angle view like looking from the sky,
the number of tree is huge and it tends to be monotonous even if you used brush materials.

Let’s draw with perspective effect.
How to draw a snow cedar forest.
First, sketch a draft while referring to pictures.
References material are necessary for raising the perfection of the drawing.
Draw a peak in the back.
On the deepest part of the forest, draw a black line on the bottom of mountain.
※Using Snow Cover (include in Snow 8 Type Brushes)
Stroke the Snow Japanese Cedar Brush from the back to the front side.
Drawing black line again and stroke the Snow Japanese Cedar Brush from the top.
Let’s increase the brush size as drawing to the front side.
The deepest part is completed by now.
※Using Japanese Cedar Brush
With the same step, draw a forest of snow cedar at front side in the middle.
By separate “the border of each depth” with black line like this, the perspective effect will pop up.
(Without this, it will become a space that difficult to understand perspective.)
Also the middle part of the forest is completed.
Now, draw the forest at the front side as well.
Considering the size, you can use Japanese Cedar Brush and Snow Japanese Cedar Brush alternately.
Draw the snow branch at the front side and rotate it to arrange the position.
A separate layer for each depth/perspective is useful for editing like this.

Take the selected area of the mountain and paste a gradient on it.
Also add in shadow of the mountain.
※Using Snow Cover (include in Snow 8 Type Brushes)
Take the selected area of the sky part and paste a sky tone.
For the lake part, put a gradient on the surface and erase the edge of the lake with an eraser.
Stamp the snow cedar that reflected on the lake surface
by changing the direction of the Snow Japanese Cedar Brush.
Draw a distant blizzard with a granular airbrush.
Put a white tone on the back part to stronger the perspective effect.
Draw snow at the front as well.
Because it is snowing, so erased the clouds in the sky.
A snow cedar forest which looks complicated is now completed in only 20 minutes!
You can save a lot of time by using brush materials.
Although brush materials may used as it is, but devising while looking at the pictures,
your drawing skill will raise up several stage just by conscious of the perspective.
